Deleting Facebook App On iPhone Will Save 15% Of Battery Life

By deleting the Facebook app on your iPhone, you can save its battery life up to 15% every day. This fact was found by The Guardian after they tried to compare the battery life of iPhone 6s Plus with installed Facebook app inside and the one is not. The test that was done in a week came with the useful conclusion for iPhone users. The Guardian found that the battery life of iPhone 6s Plus lasted longer after they deleted the official Facebook app and Messenger and started to access it via the Safari app.

They also claim that the Safari usage to access the Facebook will not dry the battery life rapidly. However, they agreed some features are missing if we access it through Safari, such as Share To-Function and Open Link Site inside Facebook.

To delete the Facebook can also save the storage space, where the free storage increases more than 500MB, got from the cache file of the app.

Previously, Facebook has been criticized due to huge battery consumption on the iPhone. It happens because there is a bug on the Background Refresh service. Regarding this new report, Facebook is still doing the investigation.
