For just $469.99, below its 30-day average of $771.84. The 90-day average sits at $716.48 and the 180-day average at $582.65, so this is a genuine outlier in recent pricing history.

If you have been waiting for a real drop on a high-capacity portable SSD. This is it.

What You're Getting

The drive uses NVMe technology with read speeds up to 1,050 MB/s and write speeds up to 1,000 MB/s. It connects over USB 3.2 Gen-2 and USB-C, with a USB-A adapter included for older systems.

Password-enabled 256-bit AES hardware encryption comes standard. The enclosure is shock and vibration resistant with drop protection rated up to 6.5 feet.

Western Digital includes a 5-year limited warranty.

Who This Is For

Best for anyone who needs fast, portable bulk storage without paying a premium. Video editors moving large project files, photographers backing up raw libraries, and laptop users running out of internal space will get the most out of 4TB at these speeds.

If you only need 1TB or 2TB, you can save more upfront, but the per-gigabyte value here is hard to beat.

Final Verdict

A 39 percent cut on a 4TB NVMe external SSD does not happen often. At $469.99. This works if you need the capacity now and want a drive that is fast, encrypted, and backed by a five-year warranty.

If your storage needs are smaller or less urgent, lower-capacity options cost less, but for 4TB at this price, the value speaks for itself.
