For just $1049, below its 30-day average of $1151.98. The laptop typically hovers around $1090 to $1150, making this current pricing one of the better positions we've seen since its introduction. While not a record low, it's a meaningful reduction from where it's been sitting recently.

What You're Getting

This is Microsoft's Copilot+ PC, marking what the company calls a new AI era. You're getting a 13.8-inch touchscreen display with HDR technology in an ultra-thin design. The Snapdragon X Elite processor with 12 cores drives the system, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD storage.

Microsoft claims this configuration delivers faster performance than the MacBook Air M3 in certain scenarios, with up to 20 hours of battery life for all-day use. The AI capabilities include upcoming features like Recall, which creates an explorable timeline of your PC's history to help retrieve documents, emails, or web pages.

Who This Is For

Best for Windows users wanting to experience Microsoft's AI vision without paying premium pricing. This works well for productivity-focused users who value battery life and touchscreen functionality.

The Caveat

The Snapdragon X Elite processor means you're dealing with ARM architecture, which may present compatibility issues with some legacy Windows applications. The Recall feature mentioned in the specs is listed as "coming soon," so don't buy expecting that functionality immediately.

Final Verdict

At $1049, this Surface Laptop delivers Microsoft's Copilot+ AI experience at a price that undercuts its recent average by over $100. For Windows users wanting to test ARM-based computing with AI enhancements, this discount makes the entry more reasonable.

Wait if you need to verify compatibility with your essential applications or prefer to see how the Recall feature actually works once released.
