Get This Price

For just $163.16, below its 30-day average of $205.43. This price cut positions the drive well under its typical selling point, offering substantial savings compared to what buyers have paid over the last month. While not a record low, the current discount makes it a practical choice for immediate storage needs.

What You're Getting

The Kingston XS1000 SSD packs 1TB of storage into a pocket-sized enclosure that measures just 69.54 x 32.58 x 13.5mm. It delivers read speeds up to 1050MB/s via USB 3.2 Gen 2 connectivity, making file transfers significantly faster than traditional hard drives. The drive includes a USB-C to USB-C cable and USB-C to USB-A adapter for compatibility with various devices. Its compact design makes it easy to carry in a pocket or small bag without adding bulk.

Who This Is For

Best for photographers, videographers, and content creators who need to move large files between devices quickly. This drive suits anyone upgrading from slower portable hard drives or expanding their mobile storage capacity.

Students and professionals who work across multiple computers will appreciate the speed and convenience. Wait if you need maximum capacity or can hold out for deeper holiday discounts.

The Caveat

While the 1050MB/s speed is solid for USB 3.2 Gen 2, it doesn't match the performance of Thunderbolt or USB4 drives that cost markedly more. The compact size means there's no integrated cable storage, so you'll need to keep track of the included cables separately.

Final Verdict

For $163.16, this Kingston XS1000 SSD delivers practical portable storage with good performance for most users. The current discount makes it worth considering if you need reliable external storage now rather than waiting for potential future sales.
