Apple Releases 2023 Pride Edition Sport Band for Apple Watch, Celebrating LGBTQ+ Community

Apple has officially launched the 2023 design of its annual Pride Apple Watch band, and starting today, the Pride Edition Sport Band is available for purchase.

The Pride Edition Sport Band features a vibrant and joyful design, representing the beauty and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community, according to Apple. Incorporating a full range of colors, the band pays tribute to various facets of the community. The colors of the core Pride flag are present, while black and brown symbolize marginalized LGBTQ+ communities of color and those affected by HIV/AIDS. Light blue, pink, and white honor trans and nonbinary individuals.

The Pride Edition Sport Band retains the style of the original Sport Band but offers a unique addition. The stainless steel pin that secures the strap in place is engraved with the phrase "Designed with pride in California."

Available in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, the 2023 Pride Edition Sport Band can be purchased for $49. However, there is also a wide variety of third-party Pride bands for Apple Watch that provide alternative options at a lower cost.

In addition to the band, Apple has also introduced the 2023 Pride edition watch face for Apple Watch, which can be downloaded for free. This year's watch face complements the design of the accompanying Pride band with floating colorful shapes. Furthermore, Apple has released custom wallpapers for iPhone, allowing users to celebrate Pride across multiple devices.
