  1. I have the IPhone XR and I haven’t found a permanent solution. The only one that works for me is Resetting but, only temporarily like about an hour tops. I shouldn’t have to reset my phone every time I want to use it.

  2. I experienced this a couple of times out of nowhere. turns out I have a work iPhone too, it had both numbers checked under messaging/settings/send and receive. made sure only the primary number of each phone was checked on each one and restarted both. messages are now working

  3. Hi,
My iPhone 6S updated to iOS 12 and since then I’ve been added to 3 group messages (with 6, 3, and 14 people, respectively) The first group chat (with 6 people) had me in it, yet I did not get the messages, nor could I see them, until 1 month later! I’ve been added to the other two at the same time and am still unable to see it. I tried all 5 of the ways shown above and it still hasn’t been fixed… Is there any other way?

  4. Mine worked when doing the “Reset Networking Settings”
My group messaging recently started coming up with “Message not delivered”
TI appears to work for now..
    Super helpful information..
    THANK YOU Technobezz

  5. Mine worked when doing the “Reset Network Settings”
I was getting “Message not delivered” all the time all of a sudden when I send group texts.
But looks like its “ok” for now..
    Super helpful…

    Thankyou technobezz

  6. Hi,

As I am from Pakistan, Asia, not sure about your country’s carrier settings, but I have simply turned off MMS option and it did work for me.

Hope it helps you out as well.

  7. The ONLY thing that worked for me after days of research and troubleshooting (reset network settings, updated phone, removed the country code +1 (xxx)xxx-xxxx from the contacts phone numbers, reboot phone, group messaging turned on, deleted conversation, etc) was asking everyone to delete the conversation on their end and then initiating a new group message. I have AT&T and there were Android and non-ATT users on the chat which I read was causing the issue.

  8. I am having the same issues that mark stat d above. This specific group chat won’t allow me to send messages. I’ve tried all the tips on this blog.

  9. No luck here. I’ve done everything on here multiple times. And the strange things is it is only specific group messages I cannot reply to – I get a Message Failed every time and the Not Delivered icon. But on other group messages it works just fine. It is selective. the only noticeable difference is it is a large group message that I cannot reply to specifically (20 people). It is a mix of iOS and non iOS recipients. But I have other group messages that also have that and work just fine. Also I did verify none of the recipients receive the message – it is not simply a bounce from one recipient. It does not send the message to anyone – including people I can message directly that are part of the group.

My iOS is up to date, I have reset the phone multiple times, I have reset network setting multiple times, group messaging is certainly enabled it works for all other group messages.
