  1. I just had the same problem with my iphone 5S. I did all the things suggested by Apple and other blogs. Then I took it to a repairer and it needed a screen replacement! So seems to me that there is lots of ‘fog’ on internet about this issue. The answer really is that the screen is faulty and needs replacing. Or a replacement phone if under warranty.
