Solution No.1: Toggle Wi-Fi and Airplane mode

First, turn off Wi-Fi, wait for a few seconds then turn it back on. Next, go to Settings, enable Airplane mode and then turn it off. Many people who had the same problem said that after they did this, the connection was not slow anymore and everything started to work just fine. Give it a shot.

Solution No.2: Restart your iPhone 5s and your router

Press and hold the sleep/wake button and drag the slider once it appears to turn off your iPhone 5s. When it’s off, press and hold the same button to turn it back on. Next, turn off your router, wait for about 20-30 seconds and then turn it back on. Hopefully, this will help you to fix the problem.

Solution No.3: Reset network settings

When you have connection issues, resetting network settings is one of the solutions. Do the following:

  • Navigate to Settings
  • Tap General
  • Now tap on Reset
  • Tap Reset network settings

Solution No.4: Router firmware update

You need to make sure that the router firmware is up to date. See the model of your router, and visit the manufacturer website to see if the updates are available.

Solution No.5: Reset all settings

If the previous solutions didn’t work, you can reset all settings. This will not erase any of your data, so you won’t have to worry about that. Here is what you need to do:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap on General
  • Tap Reset
  • Tap on Reset all settings.

These solutions usually fix the problem, so we hope you find them useful!
