Solution No.1: Restart your phone, and your computer

The great place for you to start is by restarting your computer and your iPhone. After you do that, try to back up your files via iTunes again.

Solution No.2: Turn off your security software

Many people have fixed the problem once they turned off their security software. Try this potential solution yourself. After the software is off, try to perform the backup again.

Solution No.3: Update iTunes

People tend to forget that whenever you want to back up your files or update your device via iTunes, you should update the software if needed. Simply open the iTunes, and check for new updates – download and install them.

Solution No.4: Choose another USB slot

Occasionally, when you connect your iPhone to your computer via USB cable, for no apparent reason, some glitch may occur. Try to change the USB slot. If that does not help, unplug all the devices you don’t currently need from the USB slots.

Solution No.5: Delete previous backups

If you saved some of the previous backups, maybe they are causing the problem. From the menu, choose Preferences, and click on the Device. You will see the backups you saved earlier, select it, and choose delete.
