Honor will launch its first gaming laptop next month, expanding beyond smartphones into a competitive PC market dominated by established brands. The WIN series gaming notebook arrives in April alongside updated MagicBook Pro models, marking the company's most aggressive push into computing hardware.

The Chinese manufacturer confirmed the WIN PC debut following teasers that promised "big surprises" for gamers. This move extends the WIN brand that gained attention last year with smartphones featuring mini cooling fans and 10,000mAh batteries.

Early specifications suggest Intel Core i7-14650HX processors paired with Nvidia RTX 5060 graphics, 16GB RAM, and up to 1TB storage configurations. These components target mid-range gaming performance rather than competing directly with premium gaming laptops carrying higher-tier RTX 5080 or 5090 options.

"if the shipment volume is insufficient, forcing it to be launched will cause a lot of complaints."

Honor's PC division general manager Zhu Chencai addressed questions about timing in a March statement, explaining that. He emphasized strict research and manufacturing standards requiring additional development time before market introduction.

The company plans simultaneous releases across its extensive offline retail network in China, where consumers can physically examine devices before purchase. This contrasts with online-only launches favored by some competitors and matches Honor's strategy of building confidence through hands-on experience.

Alongside the gaming-focused WIN series, Honor will introduce updated MagicBook Pro 14 and 16 models powered by third-generation Intel Core Ultra X9 processors. Company testing shows these chips deliver 13% CPU performance improvements, 40% better energy efficiency, and 76% GPU efficiency gains compared to previous generations.

Pre-reservations for MagicBook models opened this week through Honor Mall in China, offering free mice and backpacks with launch-day purchases. Storage configurations include Ultra 5 336H processors with 32GB RAM and 1TB storage options across both screen sizes.

The April launches represent Honor's attempt to establish credibility in a PC market where it has faced questions about delayed product availability. By entering both mainstream productivity and gaming segments simultaneously, the company aims to demonstrate manufacturing scale and component sourcing capabilities that support broader ambitions beyond mobile devices.
