iPhone 7 Buttons on the Lightning Earpods Function Sporadically

The multifunction remote control module for the new lightning ear pods happens to be facing some problems and it may crash while using your earpods to answer calls or change the volume. Users complained that they were unable to use Siri, start or end calls or change volume with the help of the buttons on the ear pods. But the music continues to play.

Solution: Update your iPhone 7

Apple acknowledged the problem and quickly released a fix for this issue. If you are using iOS 10.0.2 or above then the problem would have already been fixed for you. If you haven’t updated your phone yet then check for updates and install the latest software to ensure that your phone and earpods work properly.

• Go to the Settings menu
• Tap on General
• Look up Software Updates and tap on it
