If you ever face some issues on your BlackBerry Priv, such as problems with apps, overheating, battery drain or some other issue, there will be several potential solutions for all those problems. However, if nothing works, the last option you have before you take your device to your carrier, is to perform factory data reset. This process will basically erase everything on your device and it will restore it to its factory settings. That means third-party apps you downloaded will be deleted along with your files, apps and system settings you adjusted according to your need. That is why it is essential to backup your files first.

Once the process is completed, the chances are the problem you had will be gone and you will notice that your device will work faster, so if y ou ever notice the lag or you see that your device performance is not as good as it once was, a factory reset will improve it.

Here is how to factory reset your BlackBerry Priv:

  • Go to Settings
  • Tap on Backup & Reset
  • Tap Factory Data Reset
  • The warning message will appear on the screen
  • Tap Restore Phone.

 

Once the process is completed, the setup wizard will appear on the screen.
