If you lost your AirPods when you were out, dropped one of them, or misplaced the entire case, there is a way to find them. Apple has a nifty feature -Find My AirPods- that allows you to find lost AirPods, but for this feature to work, the AirPods should be connected to your iPhone via Bluetooth.

How to find lost AirPods: Find them on a map.

You can find your lost AirPods on the map. Find my AirPods will show you the location of the devices you signed in with your ID, including your AirPods. If your Bluetooth earbuds are not connected, you will see the last place and time when the AirPods were online.

To use this feature on your iPhone, iPad, or your Mac:

  • Launch the Find My app on your Apple device
  • Now choose the Devices tab and select your AirPods

To use this feature on your PC:

  • Open your browser and then go to iCloud/find page
  • Sign in with your Apple ID
  • Select All Devices
  • Choose your AirPods

How to find lost AirPods: Play a sound

If your AirPods are nearby, you can easily play a sound and find them. Here is how:

  • Launch the Find My app on your Apple device
  • Now choose the Devices tab and select your AirPods
  • Select the Play Sound option.
