How to enable Lift to wake

Lift to wake is a super handy feature you should consider enabling. Once you turn it on, just take your phone and raise it to your eyes and the screen will turn on automatically. So, instead of pressing the Power button and waking up the screen, this is all you need to do. Sounds cool, right? Let’s see how to enable it:

  • Open the Settings
  • Scroll down and tap Advanced features
  • Now tap Motion and gestures
  • You will see the option Lift to wake there, just toggle the switch to turn it on.

How to enable Smart Stay

Here is another feature you will find useful. The screen will remain on as long as you are looking at it. So, you can forget about the annoyance when the screen just turns off and you haven’t finished what you’re started so you have to wake it up all over again. If this sounds like something you want to make use of, enable it by following the steps below:

  • Navigate to Settings
  • Now tap Advanced features
  • Tap Motion and gestures
  • There is the option Smart Stay
  • Toggle the switch right next to it to enable it.

Among the Motion and gesture settings, you will also find the option called Double tap to wake. If you want to wake your screen by double-tapping on it, you should enable this option as well.
