Apple Releases iOS 16.5 Beta 3 With New Sports Features and Siri Commands

Cupertino-based tech giant Apple has released the third beta version of macOS Ventura 13.4, watchOS 9.5, and tvOS 16.5 to developers. In addition, the company has also rolled out iOS 16.5 beta 3, which comes with overall improvements and new sports-related features.
Registered developer beta testers can now download iOS 16.5 beta 3. To install the update, users can go to the Settings app, choose General, then select Software Update. The build number for today's update is 20F5050f.
Although the release of iOS 17 is just two months away at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), iOS 16.5 doesn't come with any major changes. However, it does add new screen recording commands to Siri, allowing users to start or stop a screen recording using the virtual assistant. Additionally, the update includes a dedicated Sports tab to the Apple News app, which has been a highly requested feature among sports fans.
Apple is expected to release iOS 16.5 to the general public sometime in May. The company will also roll out a new public beta later today as it continues beta testing ahead of the general release.
Aside from iOS 16.5 beta 3, Apple is also releasing beta versions of the following software updates to developers:
- iPadOS 16.5 beta 3
- watchOS 9.5 beta 3
- tvOS 16.5 beta 3
- macOS Ventura 13.4 beta 3
