The ZTE is a Chinese manufacturer known for their affordable yet powerful smartphones. The latest models in the lineup include ZTE V890 and the ZTE A606 heading to stores soon.
ZTE V890 Specs
The ZTE V890 is the more powerful variant of the two and is designed to go against some of the popular flagship devices of current times.
The specifications sheet confirms that the V890 sports a large 6-inch display with an impressive resolution of 2160 x 1080. The pixel density should be quite high on this model but it is not revealed in the listing for now. The phone is powered by a 1.8GHz 8 core processor but the maker of the chip is not revealed yet. The device will be available in multiple variants starting with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage space while the highest variant sports 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage space. Based on the varying specs, it’s evident that the phone will be available at different price points.
The ZTE V890 has a 16 megapixel and 2-megapixel dual camera setup in the rear while an 8-megapixel snapper is in the front for selfies. The phone has a generous 3,900 mAh of the battery which should easily last a whole day of demanding usage and runs on the latest Android 8.0 operating system. The design is pretty basic with a large bezel on top and bottom but being a budget device, it can’t compete with the likes of Apple iPhone X.
ZTE A606 Specs Confirm an Entry Level Device is in the Making
When compared with the ZTE V890, the ZTE A606 is clearly aimed at the entry-level budget scenario. The phone might be priced at $200 or even lesser as it seems to be a compromise on all fronts. The device has a compact 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz 4-core processor combined with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space.
The latest budget model from ZTE is primarily to get the job done and you can’t expect it to be snappy especially when multiple apps are open at the same time. The phone has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera. It has a smaller 2600 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 out of the box. The pricing and availability of the ZTE V890 and A606 are yet to be confirmed.
