It seems that battery life is not an issue that the new iPhones will be faced with. Apple might have found a way to tackle the battery life issues of the new iPhone X for 2018 by implementing a new method of fast charging.
Apple enhances the charging rate for iPhone X
Apple Insider source Jun Zhang of Rosenblatt Securities claims that the tech giant is planning to improve the overall charging rate for the new iPhones and this will trigger a really speedy sharing process. iPhone X is also charging fast at the moment, and so do the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. All you have to do is purchase the right charger and cable separately.
On the other hand, the new iPhone that Apple’s been working on may charge even quicker. The same insider told the tech magazine that the power capacity of the iPhone for 2018 should be going from 5V 2A to 9V 3A. This seems to be possible because Apple is currently using Power Integrations as its only supplier for fast charging chipsets following a fix that they had for Apple’s quality issues.
Their interest in doing so is to support more applications, provide a quicker recharge, and better compete with Android OEMs, reports Apple Insider.
There’s a new LCD iPhone on the way
The source also mentioned the new LCD iPhone. The device is probably going to be a less costly iPhone X with a 6.1-inch LCD display. The same insider also said that Apple plans to replace Broadcom with Texas Instruments as the company’s supplier for wireless fast charging in order to save on costs so this can be then offered for less cash.
“Zhang predicts that iPhone production will show annual growth in the second half of the year, as three new iPhone models arrive, with 100-100 new units produced and 85 million shipped. LCD iPhone model production as seen as higher than the other two models combined. And Hon Hai Precision is predicted to begin production a month earlier than previously expected,” Apple Insider reports.
Apple will probably launch a brand new range of iPhones for 2018 sometime in September. It’s important to note that most of the details regarding design and features are still rumors for the moment because no solid photos have leaked to support anything. But, as September is approaching so does the release date, and we’ll find out more then because usually, Apple reveals more leaks as the launch is getting closer.
