Xiaomi Rips a Page Out of Samsung’s Book – Xiaomi Mi 7 Will Support 7.5 Wireless Charging

There are hundreds of Chinese smartphone manufacturers who are trying to take the industry by storm and Xiaomi is the most prolific one. Xiaomi has made a reputation for itself by creating high-end devices that are equipped with affordable price tags, but it seems like that isn’t enough for Xiaomi. The reason we are saying this is because Xiaomi wants to take things to the next level by creating a sleek looking and powerful smartphone that’s able to compete against the likes of Galaxy S8 and iPhone X.

Xiaomi Mi 7

The smartphone we are talking about is called Mi 7, above is the leaked picture. What’s interesting is that even though Xiaomi doesn’t want to give out that many details about it, the internet is buzzing with rumors about its impressive specs and powerful performances. Even more, a leaked press render pictures shows us that Mi 7 looks spectacular and that it will sport slim bezels.

Wireless Charging

One of the features that made Samsung and Apple’s latest flagship smartphones so popular is the fact that they can be wirelessly charged. Well, it looks like Xiaomi is taking a page from Samsung and Apple’s book because a recent rumor is saying that Mi 7 will feature 7.5W fast wireless charging support. This information started from a leak that appeared on Weibo (the Chinese Reddit) which came from Xiaomi’s manufacturing line.

Impressive Hardware Specs

Nonetheless, let’s check out what specs the upcoming Xiaomi smartphone will sport and see what’s causing all this fuzz. First off, the smartphone is believed to be fueled by one of Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 845 processors which clocks at 2.8GHz. According to Gadgetsnow, the processor is quite powerful, but things get even better because Xiaomi is said to pair with the whopping amount of 8GB RAM and an Adreno 630 graphics processing unit.
