Xiaomi has just announced the new sequel of Xiaomi Redmi 3 with the aluminum body. Previously, Xiaomi also released Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 by adopting the same material. Its predecessors, Redmi 2 and Redmi Note 2 are made of plastic. The transition to the aluminum material is one of their steps to upgrade their budget class product looks fancy.
This successor of Xiaomi Redmi 2 offers a pattern aluminum back case, and the upgrading processor, inside. Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 becomes the perfect option for this class. The device has a similar RAM with Redmi 2, that is 2GB and support dual SIM dual standby. The 16GB of Internet storage that can be expanded via microSD. For the camera, the new Redmi 3 comes with 13 megapixel main camera with phase detection autofocus and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera. Another interesting thing from this new version is the huge battery capacity for a budget smartphone class: 4100mAh.

“It will be going on sale in China tomorrow where it will be priced at RMB699, which when converted is roughly $106. Unfortunately Xiaomi won’t be selling it stateside, at least not officially, so for those who want to get their hands on it, you’ll have to try grey market imports.”
