Xiaomi company will launch their top handset – Mi MIX 2S on 27th of March this year during an event hosted in China. Although we do not hold any official information released by the company, there are a few announcements that leak exciting features, to say the least.
Prior to the launch, we do get an unquestionable statement from the company, ensuring that Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S will be the inaugurating handset to benefit from Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC.
XDA Developers puts out an announcement under the form of an official watermark stating: “Shot on Mi MIX S2 Al Dual Camera”. This means two things, on the one hand, the existence of dual cameras for the device, and on the other hand, clues for Artificial Intelligence abilities integrated into the camera. A parallel taken from Mi MIX 2S camera leads us to iPhone X’s alike one, resembling in design, much as in Xiaomi’s other smartphone model, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.
Qi defines an open interface standard that allows wireless power transfer using inductive charging over distances. Mi MIX 2S is the first model from the company to bear such an important feature. Xiaomi company was added a year ago to the Wireless Power Consortium and currently comes forward with a Qi wireless pad used for charging.
ARCore is also mentioned in the features of Mi MIX 2S and it’d be the first smartphone from Xiaomi to embrace it. Basically, ARCore is a platform built for augmented reality apps on Android. Its concept lays in 3 key-point technologies in order to blend virtual content with the real world, all in the reach of your fingers, through the phone’s camera.
