Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro Prove that Adjustable Game Graphics are the Future

It’s no secret that consoles have quickly become the preferred device choice for gamers worldwide. And it’s easy to see why when you take into account the many perks that playing video games on a quality console has. You might have heard about Sony’s and Microsoft’s premium variants to their already tried and true PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We’re talking about the new PlayStation 4 Pro and the Xbox One X, of course.

Console Innovations Galore

These high-quality variants are generally 100 to 200 dollars more expensive than the original versions, but that’s because they offer new features. The most important innovation that these bring is the ability to say goodbye to the aging traditional console cycle. The new Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro also give players the ability to play games at a better graphics level within the same generation, which is completely new and innovative.

Naturally, this prompted some complaints from gamers, and these complaints are mostly centered around the futility of the new variants for users that either can’t afford them or simply can’t justify spending 100 to 200 dollars extra to play the same games at better graphics. But this isn’t the endgame that Sony and Microsoft have in mind.

In the end, this new innovation in the field of consoles aims to bring one thing to the table: improve game graphics across the table for all consoles, not just newer, more expensive ones. This is a noble goal, and one that the two companies seem to have success in achieving thus far. Of course, these two projects are just getting started, so we need to see how things evolve. How about you? What do you make of this? Let us know in the comment section below.
