Xbox One Update and Leaks – What’s New?

Although the world is currently in awe over the impressive promises made by Microsoft’s Xbox One X (formerly known as Project Scorpio), the Xbox One console is still an important device in the company’s console line. In order to keep users happy and always bring fresh new approaches, Microsoft always updates its consoles. And now the Xbox One is getting a new update and the details have just been made public. Let’s find out what it’s all about.

What’s New

This new Xbox One update seems to have great purposes because it brings a lot of new features. Let’s see what they are.

  • Custom game avatars. After the new update rolls out today, you will be able to add your own pictures to use as an Xbox One avatar. The images can be uploaded straight from the console itself, or from your smartphone or PC (if it runs on Windows 10).
  • Co-stream. Due to this new Xbox One update, up to three users can live stream together directly from their consoles and the stream comes out as a single broadcast. This is possible due to the Mixer service integrated within your Xbox One console. In order to invite other people to co-stream with you, all you need to do is go to their profiles and select the option.
  • Mixer tab for Club homepages. This is an addition that ties into the one described before, because it makes it easier for users to find other users’ streams.
  • Link your profile to a controller. This new feature will be useful if you are sharing your Xbox One console with other people. You will be automatically signed in when you used that specific controller.

Release

The new update will be released today, so prepare for it. If you’re a lucky Xbox One owner, the update is scheduled to come to devices soon.
