Xbox One Comes with an Improved Microsoft Store

If you are a fan of the Microsoft Store, we have some good news for you. Xbox One users should be able to use the Store as well. It all started when Microsoft began to use the Microsoft store brand, so that it can ultimately replace the Windows Store brand. This can be very useful for many users since it will be less confusing.

Xbox receives Microsoft Store

After users updated their PCs to the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview builds they were surprised to see that there were some new Xbox Insider Preview updates that finally brought Xbox and Microsoft together. More specifically, the Xbox Store is now named Microsoft Store, just as it is on Windows 10.

The new update even comes with the Microsoft Store icon so everything is as official as it can be. It is easy to understand why Microsoft took this decision since unification of store can bring several benefits. Microsoft is the big company, but Xbox has more brand awareness and even a better reputation. Therefore, you can see why this association is a good thing for both of them.

This decision makes even more sense if you think that you can already buy Xbox Hardware from your Xbox. With this change, online and retail store brands may become clearer for consumers.

Some users wonder if this is the right choice

While Microsoft does have its reasons for this change, many people can’t help but wonder if it is a good marketing move. First of all, regular people don’t really associate Microsoft with Xbox. Obviously, they are very connected, but when it comes to their brands, they represent two separate things. Therefore, it can be hard to see why Microsoft would put its name on this.
