Speculations about triple lens cameras have appeared a long time ago and some users even expected to see them on the Apple mobile phones. While this did not happen yet, it appears that Samsung will be the one that will finally bring this change.
The Galaxy S10 will appear in three different versions next year. We will have the traditional Galaxy S10+ and Galaxy S10 models. There will also be a cheaper Galaxy S10. All phones will come with fingerprint sensors that are placed under the display. However, this won’t be the most important feature for the Galaxy S10.
A new report from Korea revealed plenty of information about all the Samsung Galaxy models, and there is also a lot of information about the cameras of the three mobile phones.
Triple lens camera
The Galaxy S10 models that are cheaper will come with the regular dual camera setup, which is the same one as the one on the Galaxy S9+. It is also rumored that the camera module will be placed in a horizontal position. However, things will be different when it comes to the Samsung Galaxy S10+.
This phone will have the 13-megapixel zoom camera (F2.4), as well as the 12-megapixel lens with a variable aperture (F1.5 and F2.4) which is also on the Galaxy S9. However, the device will also receive a super wide-angle camera. This one will have a 16-megapixel sensor, as well as an F1.9 aperture and it is a 123-angle lens.
The zoom camera will be placed on the left, while the wide-angle camera will be situated on the right. Meanwhile, the main camera will be placed between these two, in the middle. It is also reported that the wide-angle camera won’t come with autofocus or optical image stabilization. These details were not officially confirmed, but they appear very believable.
We already received reports that Samsung is working on a triple lens camera, so this news is not surprising. Samsung is not the first company that offers a triple lens camera. Huawei was the first one to do it, and it released the P20 Pro at the beginning of the year. The company will continue to use this for the 2019 flagships.
Apple was left behind this time, but there is a chance that we will see a triple lens camera on the upcoming iPhones.
