Here Is How To Watch Apple’s iPhone 8 Launch Event Online

We are just a few days away from one of the biggest tech events of the year. Everyone seems pretty excited. Truth to be told, it is hard not to be. For months, the upcoming iPhone 8 (or maybe we should call it iPhone X) is one of the main topics in the tech world. In less than a week, the company will finally unveil it. Want to be the part of it and wondering how to watch Apple’s iPhone 8 launch event online? Keep on reading!

The company will hold the event on September 12 in the Steve Jobs theater. Apple sent out invites to the journalists, and the fans will be able to watch it online. For years, Apple live streams the launch events, and they will do the same this year.

The event will start at 10 a.m. PDT.

How to watch Apple’s iPhone 8 launch event

You can watch iPhone 8 event on various devices – iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Apple TV, Mac and Windows PC.

The live stream will use Apple’s HTTP live streaming technology, thus, there are some requirements.

  • To watch iPhone 8 event on iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, you need Safari on iOS 9 or later.
  • If you are planning to watch the event on a Mac, you will need Safari on macOS v10.11 or later.
  • Windows 10 users can watch the live stream using Microsoft Edge browser. If you have an older version of Windows, you can download VLC player. Once you do that, open it, and click Media in the top-left corner. Then click Open Network Stream and add the URL of the stream. The URL will be available when the live event starts.
  • You can watch the event on the Apple TV as well. Live stream requires the 2nd or 3rd gen of Apple TV with software 6.2 or later, or fourth generation Apple TV.

Now that all of the requirements are clear, in order to watch the event head to the Apple Special Event web page from your device.

Apple will most likely launch iPhone 8 and two other iPhones, new Apple TV, new Apple Watch and will roll out official iOS 11 version. Make sure to watch the event!
