Today, vivo officially announced the launch of its highly anticipated S17 series smartphones. Comprising four models, namely the vivo S17, vivo S17t, vivo S17 Pro, and the recently unveiled vivo S17e, this series promises to offer an array of advanced features. The devices come equipped with curved 10-bit OLED displays, boasting a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels and an impressive 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the smartphones are powered by 4,600mAh batteries, supporting 80W fast charging technology.

While the overall design and display specifications remain consistent across the S17 series, variations emerge in the chipset and camera configurations. Let's delve deeper into the details.

The vivo S17 is driven by the Snapdragon 778G+ chipset, whereas the vivo S17t is powered by the Dimensity 8050. On the other hand, the S17 Pro incorporates the Dimensity 8200 chipset. All models are available in two RAM options: 8GB or 12GB, and two storage options: 256GB or 512GB.

In terms of photography capabilities, both the S17 and S17 Pro boast a 50MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture and autofocus. Dual soft LED flash sensors flank the selfie cameras, enhancing low-light photography.

Moreover, the vivo S17 Pro is equipped with a 50MP IMX766V primary sensor, featuring OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), while the S17 and S17t sport a 50MP main camera with an f/2.0 aperture and OIS. The Pro variant offers an additional 12MP portrait sensor with 2x optical zoom and an f/1.98 aperture. Both the vivo S17 and S17 Pro feature an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a ring LED flash.

As for pricing, the vivo S17 is available at a starting price of CNY 2,499 ($352) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, while the top-end 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,999 ($422).

On the other hand, the vivo S17 Pro starts at CNY 3,099 ($436) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant, with the highest configuration of 12GB RAM and 512GB storage priced at CNY 3,499 ($492).

Consumers in China can look forward to the open sale of the vivo S17 series, commencing on June 8.
