Essential oils are derived from plants. They are usually distilled by water or steam from a plant stem, flowers, bark, leaves, and roots. They are natural so they should be safe once used properly.

Some essential oils can be used to treat wounds and prevent bacteria. Lemon essential oil can be used to treat wounds. The lemongrass essential oil reduces pain, reduces high fever and eliminates gas.



Tea tree oil, lemon oil, and cloves or oregano oil can be mixed with two cups of water. This mixture can be used as a floor cleaner. You can clean your shoes with 2 drops of tea tree oil and 1 tsp of water. The will also eliminate bad aroma as well.

Essential oils to promote hair growth. You can use lavender oil or tea tree oil. You rub the selected oil on the scalp. The Cedar essential oil can treat hair loss. The warm oil can improve blood circulation and stimulate the hair follicles. This will result in hair growth.

If you feel stress out then there are essential oils that will reduce stress. Lavender oil has a calming effect and it helps to prevent restlessness. You can inhale it or rub it on your temple.

Essential oils can be helpful with weight loss. The Grapefruit essential activates enzymes that help your body break down body fat. The Ginger essential oil reduce sugar cravings. It also reduces inflammation in the body.


Massage/body oil

Essential oil can be used as a body oil and to massage the body. It relaxes sore muscles. Essential oils can reduce blemish on the skin and restore skin complexion. You can use any essential oil of your choice. Some of the oil include Lavender, Geranium, and Clary Sage.



Make your bath refreshing by adding essential oil. Essential oil can be added to a warm bath. You can add 5 drops of essential oil to whole milk and then pour in your bath. No need to light scented candles.



Essential oil can be used as an air freshener. If you run out of air freshener you can make a homemade one. It is easy to make and very inexpensive. Get 3/4 cup water and add 2 tablespoons vodka, rubbing alcohol, or real vanilla extract. Then add one of your favourite essential oil to the mixture. Next, pour in a spray bottle and you can use this as your air fresher.
