A leaked marketing render has come up, showing fans worldwide how Samsung’s latest phablet in the Note series is going to look like. While Samsung does not look like it will be straying too far away from the design of last year’s Galaxy Note 8, the big difference will be seen with the components that the South Korean company is going to be adding under the hood of the phone. Today we will focus more on the recent updates that we have heard and we will also be addressing some of the past rumors concerning the specs of the phone.
The Biggest Update – Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Screen
The marketing render that has surfaced online these past few days show us something incredibly similar to the Note 8. This piece of information came from an industry insider in China that is well known for the fact that it is a reliable source, offering past pieces of information that turned out to be the truth.
The leaked images show us a phone that looks so similar to the Note 8 that even the screen to bezel ratio is almost the same. However, from what we have seen, the phone will come with Infinity Display. We will also be seeing a Super AMOLED panel with a ratio of 18:5:9. Just like Note 8, we can expect this year’s Note phone to come with the same QHD+ resolution that is 2960 by 1440 pixels.
We will see a change in the size of the phone, albeit not a big one. If the Galaxy Note 8 had a 6.3-inch screen, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 would have a 6.4-inch panel. The change is not incredible, and it does not bring anything that was never before seen. Despite this, there is a feature that Samsung is rumored to finally introduce, and we will be talking more about in just a couple of seconds.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9: Fingerprint Scanner Under the Glass
Both Samsung S10 and Samsung Galaxy Note 9 are rumored to come with this feature. Between the two we will sooner see the Note 9 be released with this feature since the S10 will be coming next year. For some time we have heard various rumors saying that this scanner will be placed under the screen of the phone. If Samsung manages to finally introduce this feature with the Note 9, then this would mark the first time in the South Korean company’s history where a phone like this will be put on the market.
So, why are people so excited to have a fingerprint scanner under the screen of the phone? What makes it so ‘amazing’? Well, it is not just the fact that it would make locking your phone faster and easier, but it would also mean using a feature that could be the forefront of other advances in technology.
New Color Variant
The South Korean company does not usually come up with new color variants for their phones, but this is about to change. We can expect Note 9 to come in a new color variant dubbed ‘Teddy Brown.’ Will this make a difference and would people flock to buy the phone in this color version? That remains to be seen, but we are not mad at Samsung’s decision.
Dual SIM Model
Note 9 is rumored to be another phone to join the ranks of smartphones that Samsung has released on the market to come with Dual SIM. This rumor is based on the two signal strength indicators that we have seen on the notification bar of the phone.
Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Processor
If Samsung did not make a lot of changes when it comes to the design of the phone on the outside, they have surely made some interesting tweaks under the hood of the phone. The phone will be coming with the Exynos 9810 processor that is better than previous versions.
RAM and Internal Storage
Note 9 will be coming with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. This follows the trend of phones that are coming up with more and more storage. We will have to wait and see if there are also going to be a 128GB variant.
We are expecting to see dual-cameras that have more megapixels than the ones that came with the Note 8. The battery is rumored to be a 3850mAh one. Other features were not mentioned so we will have to wait and see if anything else surfaces on the internet before the phone is released.
Speaking of release dates, the phone is rumored to be released either in late July or early August. At which event will this be taking place? Well, the launch of the flagship phablet is supposed to take place at the IFA technology show.
This means that the wait is almost over. Yes, July and August seem to be far away but we believe that most of us will not feel the passing of time and before we even know it we will get to see the big launch event happening. Then and only then will we be able to get our hands on this phone and test its features for our own. It will be interesting to see just how well will Samsung’s Galaxy Note 9 perform under some various tests. We promise to keep you posted if we find out anything more. After all, we love leaks and rumors just as much as you guys do.
