Upcoming Exploit Will Allow Downgrading Back to the iOS 10.2 Jailbroken Firmware

For many, jailbreaking remains a useful tool that allows a user to mold an iPhone according to his or her desires. If that is the case for you, there is good news. Maybe the iOS 10.3.2 upgrade was not the best thing for jailbreaking fans, but now you are able to move back to iOS 10.2 and enjoy all the benefits that jailbreaking offers.

Adam Donenfeld is the one you should thank for that.  He is the person that has discovered the downgrade exploit. The exploit became a reality after Donenfeld’s team noticed various vulnerabilities with the iOS privilege escalation.  They also found out that these weak points are present in all the iOS 10.3.1 devices.

Many argue that jailbreaking is now a thing of the past that is not necessary for our days, but if you are not one of those people you may be happy to discover that the exploit will become available in a few weeks at most. There is no set release date, but if you are curious you can keep an eye on Adam Donenfeld’s twitter account, where he posts updates sometimes.

How does it work?

First of all, in order to work, there is one requirement that has to be met: you need saved SHSH2 blobs. In fact, it is recommended that you save your SHSH2 every time before you upgrade to a newer version. That is if you intend to use jailbreak in the future.

After you use Adam Donenfeld’s iOS downgrade exploit the next step is jailbreaking your iOS device using a tool named Yalu102. It is easy to use and you can find all the steps online if you decide to get some new features and jailbreak your smartphone.
