Sign into Facebook and click on the drop-down menu next to the padlock at the top of the screen. Select “Settings” option, then choose “Blocking” (on the left side of the screen). This will open up various possibilities for blocking.
There you can block invitations from certain people. Under the section “Block app invites” and in the field next to “Block invites from”, type the name of the person, and click on it.
In addition, you can block a certain application (games) in “Block apps” section. Just enter the name of the game in the field and click on it.
You can decide of which stuff you want to be informed about.
Go to Settings> Notifications, and click on the link “Edit” in the line “On Facebook”.
There you can’t disable only the option “Activity that involves you”.
By selecting the “Off” option for “Birthdays” and “Close friend activities”, you’ll never be notified of the important events of the life of all your friends.
