When it comes to iPhones, one of the most frustrating problems you can ever experience is when the device won’t turn on. Unlike some other issues with iPhone 4, where you can try several different things in order to fix the problem, in this case you have only a couple of options. If you don’t fix it yourself, you will have to visit the Apple store, and ask for their assistance. Before you do so, we’ll share some solutions with you, and perhaps the problem will be solved, so here are 5 ways to fix iPhone 4 won't turn on.

5 ways to fix iPhone 4 won't turn on

Solution No.1: Connect your iPhone to a wall charger

As you know, every device can act strange sometimes. Even if you are sure the battery wasn’t empty, connect your iPhone 4 to a wall charger, and let it charge for a while. After about 30 minutes, try to turn your device back on.

Solution No.2: Try to charge your device with USB cable

When iPhone 4 won’t turn on, and previous solutions doesn’t give any results, connect your phone to your computer with the USB cable that came with your device, and leave it for some period of time.

Solution No.3: Check the cables and the connector

Make sure the connector of your iPhone 4 and the cables you have been using are not damaged. Sometimes, the battery indicator won’t provide accurate information, and if the phone goes off, you’ll have to charge it, which won’t be possible if the charger, USB cable or connector of your device are damaged. You can also try another charger.

    Solution No.4: Reset your device

What you need to do here is to press and hold the power button (sleep/wake button), and the Home button at the same time. Hold the buttons until the Apple logo shows on the screen. If it doesn’t show up, and if the iPhone 4 won’t turn on, the only solutions that’s left is Recovery mode.

    Solution No.5: Recovery mode

    Follow the steps given below:

    • Connect your iPhone 4 to your computer via USB cable
    • Open iTunes
    • Force your device to restart: press Home and the power button all at once, and keep holding the buttons, even if the Apple logo appears on the screen.
    • Release power button (sleep wake button), and Home button when the Recovery mode screen appears.
    • iTunes will offer: Restore and Update, and you need to select Update, in order to reinstall the iOS software.
    • In case your iPhone exits the recovery mode, try again by following the same steps.

A problem like this can happen if you dropped your device recently, or in case of the water damage. Sometimes, it can happen without any apparent reason, and these 5 ways to fix iPhone 4 won't turn on often solve the issue. If not, visit the Apple Store nearby.
