What about encryption ?

    Hy all,
    I want to know what the encryption actually do. I'm curious as to what the actual real world benefit is so please...if you know more, and if you can provide more information :D

    That's really enlightening.

    Encryption on the Nexus 6 basically locks down the device and adds another layer of protection. It protects the device from prying eyes, and only you can access the device's contents with the code/password. This has been shown to reduce the battery life of the device somewhat, but the extra protection is beneficial for many users, especially business users. If sensitive information is contained in your Nexus 6, then you'll want to consider encryption, and this is true for any device that offers such features.

    Very informative indeed. I think I would not go for the Nexus 6, but you make really good points there.
