I am just curious as to where people get wallpapers for their phones from? Do you get them from specialised sites or do you just make a wallpaper out of an already existing image, or do you even make your own?

I've had a go at making a few wallpapers myself but I'm not really satisfied with them. I'm always on the lookout for new pictures I could use as wallpapers however.

I use Walloid, Tapet and Behance for my wallpapers. Those should suffice if you're looking for quality and high definition ones. Tapet provides you with material design ones.

Thanks FuZyOn. I'll check those places out and have a look and see if there's anything I like the look of there.

I use my own photos for wallpaper, as I take lots of pictures. Depending on my moods, I change it as often as I like and I don't need to spend any money for them. I am sure you will find some that you like from FuZyOn 's recommendations.

I have used apps in the app store for wallpaper. There are a bunch of cool wallpaper pictures that I've got from those. It does take a long time to figure out which apps are good and then sort through the pictures on the app but they usually sort in the apps by categories.

There are free apps that suggest wallpapers based on what you like - animals, TV shows, etc. I just use a picture of my dog as my wallpaper. I don't want to use an app because they make my phone/tablet slow down.

Yeah I'm kind of hesitant on using an app that can suggest stuff for you. I've seen "apps" that are pretty much animated wallpapers but am quite worried about how much of a hit it would take on the battery life.

I change wallpapers often, and the app that allows me to do that is Backgrounds HD, from Google Play. New wallpapers are added daily and the selection is huge, in many categories. It also has over 70 million downloads right now, so it's definitely a good pick.

I've never made a wallpaper but it sound interesting!
I used to have one or two apps for wallpapers when I just got my iPod but I get tired of them, because they got kind of repetitive so I decided to look for some wallpapers online and actually there are a lot of them on Tumblr, and most of them are really original and cool, I don't change my wallpaper that often but when I do Tumblr is my first option!

Same with IcyBC, I just often use my own photos as wallpapers for my phone. I am not really that into wallpaper apps.

I'm the same as @IcyBC. I take a ton of pictures, so usually use one of my kitties, or a nature picture I've taken that I like for my wallpaper. I do change mine periodically, but probably not as often as some, since I don't pay much attention to it.

I don't think about wall paper much since it is not really something we look at constantly, especially for laptop, the wall paper are sitting behind the browser anyway. With the phone, I only look at it when I have to unlock my phone. Thanks @dyanmarie25 and @Diane Lane

Likewise to my computer wallpaper, I usually find a background on Google. I like to keep my wallpaper clean and simple. Right now the color scheme on my iPhone's wallpaper is a bright white, with a framed blackish-grey frame. It's kind of difficult to actually explain it, but it's just something simple - I like to keep everything nice and clean. If I really think about it, I am not the type of person who regularly changes my phone's appearance.

There are few options and that makes it hard for me to choose so what I do is I make my own wall paper. I can customize it however I want to and change it however often I desire. A wall paper for me is something personal and I tend to be more picky as the ones already available our there do not meet my own preference

There are many apps available in the Google play store. You can download those apps on your Android phone and can get many categories of wallpaper. You can change it daily on your phone according to your wish. I like Live wallpapers the most.
