5 ways to fix iPhone 5 not ringing

    Solution No.1: Do not disturb

One of the main reasons why iPhone 5 isn’t ringing is because Do Not Disturb option is turned on. Sometimes, you turn it on and simply forget about it, but maybe you accidentally turned it on. It happens. Here is how to turn it off:

    • Open the Command center from the bottom of your device, by swiping up
    • If the moon icon is enabled, disable it.
    Solution No.2: Set different ringtone

In case you set a custom ringtone on your device, maybe the file is corrupted, or you deleted it recently. What you should do is to set another ringtone.

    • Navigate to Settings
    • Tap on Sounds
    • Tap on Ringtone
    • Select different ringtone.
    Solution No.3: Restart your iPhone

As you know, a reset can solve a wide range of issues, especially if your iPhone 5 is running for some period of time and if you didn’t turn it off recently. Press and hold the power button for a couple of seconds, and when slider appears, drag it to the right to turn off your device. Then, when it’s off, press and hold the same button, and turn your phone back on.

    Solution No.4: Assistive touch

Update to the new version of iOS can switch certain things off, and that’s something many people experienced. This can solve the problem:

    • Go to Settings
    • Tap on General
    • Tap on Accessibility
    • Set the Assistive touch switch on.
    Solution No.5: Reset all Settings

If the previous solution did not fix the problem, and if your iPhone 5 is not ringing, reset all settings. Here is how:

    • Go to Settings
    • Click on General
    • Tap on Reset
    • Select Reset all Settings
    • Confirm that you want to reset all settings.

In most cases, one of these 5 ways to fix iPhone 5 not ringing will work. If you tried all these solutions, and if your device still isn’t ringing, visit Apple Store, and ask for further assistance.
