How to fix iPhone 4 data issues

    Solution No.1: Toggle Airplane Mode

When having data issues on your iPhone 4, there is a potential solution for which you need only a few seconds of your time. Many users reported that toggling the Airplane mode solved the problem, so try this method first, and if it doesn’t work, move to other solutions listed below. Go to Settings, turn on the Airplane Mode and turn it back on a couple seconds later. Hopefully, this little handy trick will do the work.

    Solution No.2: Toggle Cellular Data

If toggling Airplane mode didn’t solve the problem, it is time to try this one, which is also very simple. Navigate to Settings, tap Cellular, then switch Cellular Data off and turn it back on. See if it’s working. If not, there are several other things you can do.

Solution No.3: If you are traveling internationally make sure Data Roaming is enabled

If you are experiencing data issues on your iPhone 4 when traveling internationally, the reason why it’s not working properly may be the fact that Data Roaming is disabled. To turn this option on, go to Settings from the Home Screen, tap on Cellular and move the switch next to Data Roaming. Once it turns green, it means it’s enabled.

Solution No.4: Take the SIM card out of your device and place it back in

This can help you fix iPhone 4 data issues. Take the SIM card out of your device and place it back in. Also, make sure that the SIM card is not damage. If it is, contact your carrier and ask for a SIM card replacement. Many carriers offer SIM card replacement for free.

    Solution No.5: Update carrier settings

It is advisable to check for carrier settings update. Follow several simple steps: go to Settings, tap General > About. In case there is an update available, a prompt will show up.

Solution No.6: Restart your iPhone 4

To restart your iPhone 4, press and hold the Power button, and when the slider appears, drag it to turn off your device. Again press and hold the Power button and turn the device back on.

    Solution No.7: Reset network settings

Resetting network settings can fix iPhone 4 data issues. Here is how you can do that:

    • Go to Settings
    • Tap General
    • Tap Reset
    • Click on Reset network settings

    Solution No.8: Reset all settings

You can also reset all settings. This is pretty simple, and the process will not delete any of your files. Follow these steps:

    • Go to Settings
    • Tap General
    • Tap Reset
    • Click on the option “Reset All Settings”

Solution No.9: Erase all content and settings

Unlike the previous option, this will delete all your files and personal settings, so before you proceed, make sure to backup your files. Now, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings. When this is completed, set up your device as a new device.

If you tried all the solutions we have listed in this article but still experiencing data issues, make sure to contact Apple or your carrier for additional assistance.
