    If your iPad won’t connect to a Wi-Fi network, there are several solutions you should try before you contact Apple or visit one of their stores.

    Before we move on to the 5 ways to fix iPad won't connect to a Wi-Fi network check if your router is on. You should not be too far from the router, because in that case, you won’t be able to get a signal. Check if the Wi-Fi is on, by tapping on Settings, Wi-Fi.

    5 ways to fix iPad won't connect to a Wi-Fi network

    Solution No.1: Restart your iPad

    To restart your iPad, press and hold the sleep/wake button, and when the red slider shows up, drag it to turn the iPad off. Once it’s off, again press and hold the same button until the Apple logo appears.

    Solution No.2: Reboot your router

    To reboot your router, unplug the power connector from the device, and plug it back in.

    Solution No.3: Turn off Airplane mode

    In case the Airplane mode is on, turn it off. To do that, simply navigate to Settings, and tap on Airplane mode.

    Solution No.4: Reset network settings

    To reset the settings, Go to Settings, General, Reset, and choose Reset Network Settings. Keep in mind this will reset not only your Wi-Fi settings and saved passwords, but APN and VPN settings, cellular settings, and Bluetooth pairing records.

    Solution No.5: Update iOS software via iTunes

    Before you begin, get the latest version of the iTunes software.

    • Mac – Open the software, choose iTunes from the menu bar, and click on Check for Updates.
    • Windows – Open the software, choose Help from the menu bar, and click on Check for Updates.
    Make sure you have enough space available. Connect your iPad to your computer, and select your device. Choose Check for Update in the Summary panel, and click on Download and Update.
