It seems that Huawei finally gets all the attention it deserves. For many, the first choice when it comes to smartphones are Samsung devices, iPhones, or HTC devices, but lately, all the eyes are on Huawei, especially their Mate 8 device. This smartphone is a beast! It is gorgeous, it has a beautiful big display and a truly powerful battery that will hardly let you down. This device comes with a wide range of interesting tools that will make the usage simple and enjoyable. In this article, we are going to show you how to take screenshots on Huawei Mate 8.

As mentioned, this device has some really cool features, so don't miss these two guides below. The first one explains how to use your phone even when you are wearing gloves, and the other one will help you to easily extend the battery life on your device.

Whenever you want to capture something on your screen, you can do that using the hardware buttons, or your knuckle. We are going to explain both methods here.

To take a screenshot using the hardware buttons:

    • Make sure that the thing you want to capture is currently on the screen
    • Press the Power button and the Volume down key at the same time and the screenshot will be taken

The other option is to use your knuckle. Just tap on the screen with one knuckle and you will be able to take a screenshot.

The knuckle gestures came with Huawei P8. To be able to use this cool feature that is a lot simpler than using the hardware buttons, you will have to activate it first. Here is how: navigate to Settings > Smart Assistance > Motion Control, and you will find "Smart screenshot" option. Enable it and you are ready to take screenshots with your knuckle! I guess you won't be using Power button and the Volume Down Key anymore.
