I use an app to clear memory, but this doesn't close the programs, as I have to enter the app settings and force close manually. Is there an app that does this for all apps?

I don't think there is an app for that purpose. I hard reboot is in order and if it still refuses to shut down, then take out the battery. But I'm sure you knew that one already.

When all else fails, just pull out the battery. Unless you got an Iphone then your totally screwed.

Hey, if you have an iPhone I wont be able to help you, but on the newer Android phones, you can usually press and hold your softkey menu button and swipe away the recent apps. Android is built to control RAM on its own though, so app killers are mostly unnecessary. If you have a newer android phone, letting your apps run should be automatically controlled by the software :)
