This is an important read/watch for parents, grandparents, teachers, and really, anyone else who cares about children (in a non-perverted way), and please be sure to share it with others. It's really disgusting to me to know that so many of these adult predators (and yes, some are other children/adolescents) are targeting innocent children. Being aware can help us to know signs to look for, and can help us keep those we care about safe, or at least as safe as possible. http://www.khou.com/story/news/loca...s-use-online-games-to-lure-children/30556819/

Really quite worrying this stuff is going on. In a similar way it's through ways like this that ISIS recruiters are radicalising children. It's sick. Best thing to do is keep an eye on what your children use for gaming, check their friends lists and maybe watch them play a few times.

Yes, both groups are predators, and use similar tactics, when grooming and recruiting children and also young adults. For this reason, I think it's important for parents and grandparents to keep up with technology, because otherwise, they will have no idea what the kids are up to. I had a client who was using his iPod Touch to access porn, via the home wifi. The Mom thought he was safe, because he was in his bedroom, and she didn't see him on the computer. Thankfully, he felt close enough to me to let me know, and asked for help dealing with the issue.

That is so alarming and disgusting also! Parents are usually so extremely busy nowadays that they just let the children do what they want. So many children are exposed to new technology earlier and earlier and if the parents don't keep an eye on what their kids are doing, they will be sorry later.

We have three young children in the extended family, and they are being watched and have limited time online, thanks goodness for it. I will pass on this link too.

It's pretty alarming how technology can also be used by predators to lure children nowadays. That's why we really should keep a good eye on our kids and we should educate them properly about the pros and cons of using the internet. Never trust anyone you meet online and never give them any personal information about you or your family members. It's always better safe than sorry.
