Most research firms peg sales for the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge at 45 million in 2015. That's going to be a lofty goal for the company, and it's seen as the golden number because the record for Samsung rests with the Galaxy S4, which sold that many units. One major problem is that the device shipped 10 million units in its first few weeks of release, but only six million of those units were purchased by consumers.

Samsung could still make it, but the company has been overstating its numbers by going with units shipped (to retailers and consumers combined) rather than units actually purchased by consumers. We'll see.

If Samsung reach their target or not there can be no doubt that the S6 is still a popular selling device. Samsung have started to get a loyal fan base now, similar to Apple and going forward that's only going to help make Samsung THE king of the android market.

Well, Samsung can easily achieve that number but it all comes down to what devices are going to come out in the next months. The Nexus line and the Motorola devices are very good and can compete with the S6 this year. We shall see.
