ok so I am having major issues with my new note 2 sgh-i317m (Canadian version)
    android version: 4.1.1
    baseband vers:I317MVLALJ2
    kernel vers:3.0.31-262790
    build no: JRO03C.I317MVLALJ2
WHEN CHECKING THE PHONES STATUS I FIND THE FOLLOWING: ERI VERSION-NOT AVAILABLE, IMEI-0, DEVICE STATUS-MODIFIED
Now I purchased this phone preowned. I was told that it wasn't blacklisted and I checked it isn't, so that's good. However, I still cannot use this phone because when I insert my SIM it network operator it selects is WIND AWAY, when it should be on WIND.
I can get into the service mode of the device if need to, can you help me with this error? I cannot afford to to buy another device.
    thank you
    Kari

    Your Phone was reported as

Your Phone was reported as stolen as you see here

You must restore your IMEI number or Fix the corrupted EFS Folder.

Someone just reported a case like this here

There are multiple ways to attempt this issue, this easiest way is to

Fix the baseband of your Phone. This can be done by Recovering the EFS Folder, which is wiped.

Read this article to fix it -- Fix Samsung Galaxy unknown baseband version

    And

Another way is to restored your nulled IMEI number. It appeared to be that it is nulled . With an IMEI of 0, this is a clear indication.

Please read this article, 97% has found this article to solved their problem

Restore Galaxy Null IMEI # and Fix Not Registered on Network
