    1.Random Sluggishness: IPhone Slowness
If you have recently upgraded your iPhone to iOS 8, and it feels slower than the previous version then it is because the iPhone after that had not been hard rebooted. It is very easy to hard reset the iPhone. Just hold the power and the home button concurrently until you see the Apple logo that is signifying that the iPhone is being restarted.

    2.Choppy and Laggy Animations:
IPhone can also be working slowly because of the related frame-rate drops. Disabling the animation effects can resolve the problem. This work from the phones’ side by just addition of the fading effect. It not only makes the device feel faster but also minimize the choppy animations. It is easy to turn off the animations, just go to the Settings > General > Accessibility > Reduce Motion. Turn this switch on and there you go.

    3.Restoring Makes IPhone Faster:
The restoring method always makes a phone faster. It includes hard resetting the iPhone. For this connect the iPhone to the PC with the latest version of iTunes already installed. And backup your files. Connect your iPhone to your computer using the cable that came with the iPhone. Select your device in iTunes and from the Summary panel, choose the option "Restore iPhone". Click Restore iPhone to confirm your action. iTunes will erase your iPhone and will install the latest version of iOS.

    4.Update:
If you restored the iPhone recently, but you noticed that your device is a bit laggy lately, check if there is a new iOS version available for download. The iOS is regularly updated to maximize performance and minimize lag. Connect your device to a power source and to a Wi-Fi network. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and tap Download and Install.

    5.Disable Background App Refresh:
IOS has brought a new feature that is called the background app refresh and what it does is that the contents of the apps are continuously being updated with minimum battery reduction and which actually means that the iPhone has to still keep all those processes running. The best option is to turn background app refresh off. Disabling the background app refresh is also easy, go to settings then general and select the background switch option to off. You don't have to turn off the option completely - you can do that only for the apps you want by moving the switch right next to an app.

    What else?
If you noticed that your iPhone pefrorms slowly only when using certain apps, make sure that your apps are up to date. Open the App Store and update the applications. Also, if too many apps running in the background, force close a few. To do that, tap on the Home button two times and you will see the apps you have been using lately. Go through the applications and when you find the application you wish to close, swipe up and you will close it.
