#1044 – Access denied for user ‘username1’@’localhost’ to database ‘wrdp9 and #1044 – Access denied for user ‘username1’@’localhost’ to database ‘user2_wrdp9’ is a very popular error that’s found among most the popular the web hosting like –godaddy, Hostgator

the main reason why you getting 1044 access denied for a user to database PHPMyAdmin when importing an SQL file to a database via phpMyAdmin is because of “The username of the SQL do not match of that for the Username of you Database(host)”

I heard people complaining – They are exporting an SQL database from another host, then import it to their new host database via PHPMyAdmin and getting this error” #1044 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' to database 'information_schema'"

How To Fix #1044 – Access Denied For User
In this case, I am transferring database SQL from IPage to Godaddy

    >Login to your host where you are exporting the Database SQL from (PAGE)

    >Export your database.Make sure to check -Enclose Export in a transaction

    >Save as NONE, and press go

    >Locate the username of that Database from where you exporting the SQL From (PAGE)

    • (pncvuEsiE6a) is mines
    >Now, move over to your next host where you want to import the SQl database

    >IMPORTANT- Create a new database with the same username as your SQL Exported Database. In this case I will be using -pncvuEsiE6a

You can see here I do not get the -#1044 – Access denied for user ‘username1’@’localhost’ to database ‘wrdp9 error because I have matched the Godaddy database username with my Image Exported SQL Database

Few people suggest manually editing the SQL file to alter the username to match the created database on the sever..But that can cause some error, only do if you have expertise in SQL.
