Gmail is one of the most performant email clients, and that is because it is highly customisable. You can shape your Inbox anyway you want, or simply add some minor changes that can improve your experience in subtle ways.
In this article we have gathered some of the best Gmail tweaks. Take a look bellow, pick some of them and give them a try to see how easily things can change. Some of them are unknown, while others will require you to head over to Settings.
Use symbols to sort your emails
Visual aid is the most helpful most of the time, and with Gmail you can use it as well. Simple go to Settings > General and scroll to the Stars section. You will see more symbols, and they come in different colors. You can choose to enable or disable them by dragging and dropping the signals between categories.
You will also see Presets: 1 star, 4 stars and all stars.
Allow someone else to take care of your emails
If you are somewhere in vacation, or in the hospital, answering your emails might not be your number one priority. However, Gmail allows you to find someone to do that for you. All you have to do is go to Settings > Accounts > Add another account and type someone’s Gmail address. That person will be allowed to rend and send emails from your address.
Remember to attach files
It probably happened to you at least a few times to forget to send your attachment in an email. Gmail is aware of this problem and it will automatically announce you if you forgot to attach a file. However, that will only happen if you have typed “I have attached” in your email.
