Apple has released their new iPhone accessory, the Smart Battery Case for iPhone 6/6s, yesterday. The different thing about this case is a large rectangular bump at the back. This is how what Tim Cook said about it, in an interview with Mashable.

“You know, I probably wouldn’t call it ‘the hump,’”

He added that the design makes it easier to be used and removed to the iPhone.

“One of the real insights here is, have you ever used other cases and tried to get them on? If you make this solid all the way across (pointing to the top portion of the fluoroelastomer casing) in order to get it on, you’d find it very difficult to get it on and off.”

Cook also noted that the case like this is perfect for you while traveling and you don’t have time to charge your iPhone everyday.

“If you’re charging your phone every day, you probably don’t need this at all. But if you’re out hiking and you go on overnight trips… it’s kind of nice to have.”

Apple released the Smart Battery Case to give extra battery life up to 25 hours for iPhone 6/6s.
