It’s only been a few days since OnePlus announced that it will be launching the first-ever OnePlus TV in India later this month. The date for the launch event is set to 26th September 2019. However, a lot of users are awaiting the half-yearly upgrades that OnePlus gives to its flagship phone of the year – in this case, the OnePlus 7. Earlier this year, there were rumors that there may not be a OnePlus 7T if OnePlus were going to keep up with their tradition of releasing only two phones in a year since they already released OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro this year. However, it was later confirmed that OnePlus is going to release OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro when high resolution renders and full specifications of the models were leaked on Twitter.
Full specs and renders
Tipster Ishan Agarwal released the upcoming OnePlus phones’ specs on Twitter a couple of weeks ago. The OnePlus 7T will have a 6.55 inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED 90Hz display. The phone will also have a smaller notch than OnePlus 7, which means better screen aspect ratio. It will be powered by Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC, and an 8 GB RAM. Interestingly, the rear-camera setup is a triple-lens arrangement (48 MP + 16 MP + 12 MP) in a circular ring. The front side has a 16MP selfie camera. It also has a 3,800mAh battery, in-display fingerprint scanner, Face unlock, and runs on the OxygenOS.

OnePlus 7T to be cheaper than OnePlus 7 Pro
Meanwhile, OnePlus’ CEO Pete Lau has recently told CNET in an interview that OnePlus is working on an upcoming phone which will be cheaper than the OnePlus 7 Pro, while still keeping its game-changing 90 Hz refresh rate display. Lau also said that OnePlus was the first brand in the industry to come up with the 90 Hz AMOLED display, and the overwhelming response from users has to lead to their decision of making it standard on all their upcoming flagship phones so that every OnePlus user gets a smooth scrolling experience.
The interview also stated that the next phone from OnePlus will be more “affordable” than the company’s current OnePlus 7 Pro, which starts at $669. However, OnePlus is being vague about which device they are talking of. Based on the specs, we think it’s actually the OnePlus 7T and not the 7T Pro, that will be cheaper than OnePlus 7 Pro. Mind you, the 7T Pro has the renowned pop-up front camera like the OnePlus 7 Pro. It’s also important to note that OnePlus did not launch the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro in certain markets like the USA this year; however, the upcoming phones will be released in the USA as well. It will be a nice upgrade for users there from the OnePlus 6T, which is still being sold there. As of now, all eyes are set on the 26th September event where OnePlus will launch its first OnePlus TV in India, along with the OnePlus 7T, 7T Pro, and possibly also the 7T Pro Mclaren edition.
