Huis remote controller is the latest product launched through the First Flight crowdfunding platform owned by Sony.

First Flight was one of the most exciting initiatives of the Japanese company, which was struggling to recover from a financial standpoint. Its role was to help promote Sony’s employees ideas and to guarantee their financing freedom. The latest product launched by Sony, thanks to the advertising on the First Flight platform, is the HUIS remote controller, which comes equipped with an e-Ink display that could control the smart homes of the future. Apparently, it can be customized very easily and can coexist with most devices in a home.

According to Gizmodo, the design is extremely successful, the Japanese company including, among others, an e-Ink screen that guarantees a very good autonomy. Also, the interface can be changed through an application on your computer, allowing you to download various configurations and settings.

Currently, you can use the smart remote from Sony to control audio-video equipment, lighting, the air conditioning and almost any other device that works with a remote controller. Unfortunately, the device will be available in the next period only in Japan, where Sony sells it at the price of 250 dollars. However, we hope that will reach other markets too in the near future.
