The Sims 4 Makes it Official – You Can Now Build Giant Shrines of Baby Yoda

If you don’t know who Baby Yoda is by this time, you’ve probably been living under a rock. The baby version of the hundreds of years old Star Wars space being the character that was recently shown for the first time ever in the spin-off series The Mandalorian has taken over the internet. From the series to memes to YouTube to art pages, Baby Yoda is everywhere. And now, the mushy little green package of cuteness has made its way to fans’ favorite video game The Sims 4. Yes, that’s right; players of The Sims 4 can now have Baby Yoda.

Baby Yoda Sims 4 Statue

After weeks of shining all over the internet and becoming an instant pop culture phenomenon, Baby Yoda love has finally reached its apparently logical conclusion. Residents of The Sims 4 city can now buy a statue of The Mandalorian’s Baby Yoda character in-game and place it wherever they want. While The Sims 4 has had some pretty amazing collaboration like this one with other pop culture movies/series, this latest one isn’t much of a surprise since Electronic Arts (EA) owns The Sims 4 as well as the Star Wars game franchises.

Official Announcement

The official announcement of Baby Yoda’s entrance in the game came via The Sims’ Twitter account when they shared the news over the last weekend through a user made TikTok video on Twitter captioned “This Is The Way.”

Baby Yoda Statues

Baby Yoda is listed as a decoration in the game for users to buy and is labeled as “The Child Statue”. The listing for the statue reads “Officially known as ‘The Child’ but affectionately referred to as ‘Baby Yoda,’ this statue is a lovable replica inspired by the Disney+ live-action series The Mandalorian.”

Much like any other decoration item in The Sims 4, the Baby Yoda statue doesn’t actually do anything practical. But in any case, The Sims fans are totally elated over the super adorable Baby Yoda’s arrival to The Sims 4 in the most sensible way possible through in giant shrines of ‘The Child.’ This seems pretty apt, given the treatment he’s been receiving from fans around the world can in no way be called any less than being worshipped.

As 2019 is approaching its end this week, it’s safe to say that Baby Yoda is the last, but certainly not the least major pop culture phenomenon of the year after all that we have seen in this roller coaster of a year. Meanwhile, Christmas is here, and The Sims 4 has so many gifts and treats waiting for players who log in through the holidays whereas voting lines are also open for the coming update pack’s styles. So, login now and catch up with all that’s been going on in The Sims city.
