We are soon going to see the new Huawei Mate 20 series but only after Google will launch its Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL phones. Just recently Huawei’s latest device could be seen on Weibo and Antutu, meaning that we have stumbled upon some new images which show us some of its characteristics.
From what emerged on Weibo we can see that the Mate 20 will come with triple cameras plus flash, all of them arranged in a square formation. Just under the camera system lays the rear fingerprint sensor. That’s different because in previous images we saw just an on-screen sensor. But it could just mean that the images show the Mate 20 and not the Pro version, which has been hyped with the on-screen fingerprint sensor.

Besides the phone, you could see a protective case which we don’t think that was made by a third-party maker, instead, it could just be an official accessory from Huawei. Moving on, the phone, with a model number of LYA-L29, made an appearance on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform where it displayed its performance prowess.
The Antutu listing shows that the Mate 20 Pro, which will come with 120 Gb of storage plus 6 Gb of RAM obtained a pretty high score, 313561. This score came from testing the CPU (115296), GPU (112516), UX (69456) and Memory (16293). Since most of the Android devices which come with the Snapdragon 845 scored around 290k, the Mate 20’s score suggests that its Kirin 980 will perform better than the SD845 chipset.
When it comes to Apple’s iPhones, the Mate 20’s score is left a little bit behind that of iPhone XS Max’s who got a score of 372106. However, you should know that the current score could be the one of a pre-production unit, so when the real Mate 20 Pro will come out, the results might be different.
