The Beta for Hitman, one of the most anticipated games of the year, will be available on February 12.
If you are an XBOX one owner, then here are some bad news for you. You will not be able to take part in the testing phase of the new Hitman. The newest game in which we will be able to impersonate Agent 47 will be going into Beta phase on 12 of February for PS4, and on 19 of February, for those with a PC. Unfortunately, the Beta will only be available on these two platforms, XBOX users being forced to wait until the official release on March 11.
Moreover, the developers have decided to limit the number of persons who will have access to the Beta. Thus, only those who preorder will have the opportunity to try out the game in the coming days (and will also get the Hitman Blood Money Pack).
In case you didn’t know, this year, Hitman will be launched in a different way. It will be available in two versions, Intro and Full. Intro will guarantee you access only to the content published on March 11, including assignments, contracts, and live events. On the other hand, with the Full version, you will receive, along with the items available from March 11, all of the content that you will be released in the upcoming months, without having to pay any extra costs.
In our opinion, the model adopted by Square Enix is a good one, because the $60 (standard price of a PS4 game) will ensure access to all content. Without any DLCs and without extra elements that will cost you extra money. Should you purchase this version instead of the Intro one? Definitely. The game looks very good so far and if you’re still not convinced, you can always wait for the reviews which will be available shortly after the game’s launch.
Square Enix has stated that the missions from March will be undertaken in Paris, Rome and Marrakesh. In April, Thailand will be added, in May the United States, and Japan in June. Each of these will include new missions, new targets for Contracts mode, new disguises, weapons and methods to eliminate the targets.
